Job Responsibilities

As a social worker at Malmö City's Adult Reception, you will conduct initial assessments and determine urgent measures in cases concerning adults, primarily regarding harmful use and dependency issues. In the reception, you will work in a team with five other social workers and a senior social worker.

You will perform the initial assessment of individual needs and process and document incoming reports and applications, in accordance with both the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Care of Abusers Act (LVM). Your tasks will also include guiding applicants correctly, informing them about the municipality's opportunities to provide support and assistance, and the individual's rights.

As a social worker in the reception, you will closely collaborate with colleagues in the Youth and Adults unit as well as other sections within social services. You will also collaborate extensively with other authorities and organizations, such as healthcare. Much of the work involves contact with individuals, both by phone and during visits.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A degree in social work (210 credits)
• Experience working with Procapita/Lifecare
• The ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing

We would prefer if you have previous experience in public authority work within social services. It is an advantage if you have worked in a reception within social services and have experience with harmful use and dependency. Training in MI, ASI, and FREDA is also advantageous. Experience working with Mina planer and holding a B driver's license is considered a plus.

The work in the reception also requires you to plan and organize your work effectively, while possessing a flexibility that allows you to prioritize your tasks to handle sudden situations. Furthermore, you are comfortable taking initiatives, making decisions, and are eager to bring new suggestions and ideas. The work requires you to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About the Workplace

Starting from April 1, this section will move to Sallerupsvägen 11D due to an organizational change. Here, you will have the opportunity to be part of a workgroup with a good atmosphere and strong cohesion. The section consists of 7 employees with various professional backgrounds, ages, and experiences where we support each other in our daily work.
