Social Workers for Summer Temporary Positions in Adult Investigation at Malmö City

We are looking for two social workers for summer temporary positions within the Adult Investigation unit in Malmö City. This is an opportunity for you who want to develop in your profession, work closely with clients, and gain valuable experience in qualified authority work.

Job Responsibilities

Within the unit for Young and Adults, you will work on investigations characterized by well-founded decisions, high legal security, and a good approach in meetings with clients. Our common mission is to investigate the need for care according to SoL and LVM before decisions regarding the target group of adults (25+) who live with harmful use or dependency problems.

Your tasks will include investigating, assessing, and deciding according to the current delegation regarding support and care measures concerning our clients. You will primarily support your colleagues in ongoing cases but will also work more independently with your own cases. In the work with your own cases, there are always experienced colleagues to consult.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Degree in Social Work
• Good digital skills and experience working in various IT systems
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious are:

• Experience in authority exercise
• Experience in social work with the adult target group
• Experience in investigative work within authorities
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
• Ongoing or completed internship as part of your education
• Experience in meeting people in vulnerable life situations
• Experience working in LifeCare
• Knowledge and experience of MI

As a person, you have a strong commitment to the target group and a genuine interest in social work. You need to have the ability to create and maintain a good structure and care about maintaining a high quality in your work. You also understand the need to seek more information or ask for help when necessary to move forward in a case and the importance of good communication with your colleagues.

In meetings with clients, you have a professional, respectful, and non-judgmental approach. The work is characterized by changeability, and therefore it is important that you have a flexible approach and a good ability to adapt to situations and people. Furthermore, you are calm and stable, maintaining a positive and constructive attitude even during periods that may require a higher pace.

The tasks are investigative in nature and place high demands on documentation and communication. Therefore, you who apply find authority work interesting and stimulating and have good communicative skills.

About the Workplace

The unit for Young and Adults is part of the Adult Investigation department. The unit is led by a unit manager and consists of five sections, each with a section manager and a senior social worker. The entire unit is centrally located on Bergsgatan with good commuting opportunities.
