Biomedical Analyst at Kungsbacka Hospital's Medical Reception

Responsibilities

Your tasks as a biomedical analyst with us involve independent work and close collaboration with nurses and cardiologists/pulmonologists. You will independently perform echocardiography and connect/disconnect, review, and edit long-term ECGs. This also includes lung function tests, 6-minute walk tests, sample collections, ECG, Pox, FeNo, a-Blood gas.

Booking and calling patients as well as some scheduling will also be part of the job.

You will have equipment such as Jaeger, Vyntus with Senturysuite at your disposal. You also have modern equipment for echocardiography (GE Vivide9), long-term ECG (Eclipse Spacelab and Zenicor), and exercise ECG (Cardiolex).

As a biomedical analyst, you are a natural link in the collaboration around the patient regarding both the doctor's reception and the nurse's reception.

About the Workplace

The Medical Reception is divided into several sections such as Allergy Reception, Diabetes/Endocrinology Reception, Cardiology Reception, Lung Reception, Neurology Reception, and a day care unit. We are a specialist clinic where we receive referrals from primary care mainly from northern Halland but also from other hospitals in Region Halland and SU in Västra Götaland.

We conduct investigations and examinations in areas such as cardiology and pulmonary medicine. At the Cardiology Reception, we conduct investigations and treatments for most cardiovascular diseases such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valve disorders, difficult-to-treat hypertension, pacemaker checks, and ICD checks.

The patient groups we primarily investigate and treat at the Lung Reception include: COPD, interstitial lung diseases, where idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis is the largest subgroup, sarcoidosis, and bronchiectasis problems of various origins. A smaller part consists of dyspnea investigations.

At the reception, you will have 2 more colleagues working with similar tasks. We work in a team where doctors, biomedical analysts, nurses, and secretaries collaborate to ensure well-executed examinations. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed biomedical analyst with a focus on clinical physiology. We prefer that you can independently perform echocardiography and lung function tests (static + dynamic spirometry, Co-diffusion, MIP, MEP, etc.) from the start.

You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing, and you should also have a good command of English in speech and writing. Very good computer skills are required.

As a person, you are positive about development and change work, you are flexible and have good collaboration skills. We expect you to have a strong commitment to your work and that you follow up on results and can work independently. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
