Region Halland is looking for you who currently work as a nurse and want to develop by furthering your education to become a specialist nurse in medical care or neurology.
The Medical Acute Care Unit (MAVA) is part of the medical clinic at Halland Hospital and receives patients with acute and complex medical conditions. Our operations are characterized by a high pace and close teamwork with a strong focus on safe, secure, and patient-centered care.
As part of our long-term competence supply, we are now offering a training position for nurses who wish to further their education to become specialist nurses in medical care.
In the role of specialist nurse at MAVA, you will be responsible for developing medical care together with an engaged and competent team.
On ward 52, we care for patients who have acutely fallen ill with stroke/TIA as well as other neurological diseases affecting the brain and nervous system. The ward also cares for patients with kidney diseases and PD (peritoneal dialysis). To provide our patients with the best care on the ward, we work in a cross-professional team where you, together with doctors, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, social workers, neuropsychologists, and medical secretaries, work with the patient at the center.
As part of our long-term competence supply, we are now offering a training position for nurses who wish to further their education to become specialist nurses in neurology.
Training Employment
We offer you a training employment, which means that you study to become a specialist nurse in medical care or neurology with a salary and receive a position at a designated workplace at Halland Hospital in Halmstad, where you will then work as a qualified specialist nurse after completing your education.
A training employment can be granted for full-time or part-time study. Distance education is also included as a study form.
Qualifications
To apply for a training employment, you must be a licensed nurse with at least two years of work experience as a nurse in Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you must be accepted into the education at an educational institution.
You should be able to work independently and take your own initiatives, have an easy time collaborating, and possess a good ability to work in a team. Furthermore, your interaction with patients and colleagues should be professional.

PLEASE NOTE that most educational institutions have an application period from February 16 to March 16 for specialist nurse programs.
