Job Responsibilities

As an occupational therapist, you will work with assessments, investigations, and rehabilitation. Assessment of activity ability may be part of a more in-depth investigation, including observation in the home.

Work with patients can occur both individually and in groups where treatment may consist of activity training, strategies for increased structure in daily life, environmental adjustments, testing/prescribing, and follow-up of aids, etc.

We are a team that values development and improvement in our work, and therefore, improvement work is ongoing with allocated time and involves all staff.

The position being advertised is a temporary position for about one year.

About the Workplace

The Adult Psychiatry Clinic (VPM) in Falkenberg is a specialist psychiatric clinic with about 30 employees working in interdisciplinary teams, in collaboration with both inpatient care and primary care.

The teams include doctors, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists. The target group is individuals over 18 years old with severe depression and anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, psychotic disorders, trauma, and suicidality.

Our goal is to always provide good psychiatric specialist care to residents. The aim is to offer a wide range of different treatment and investigation methods and let current research guide our work.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed occupational therapist. We prefer that you have knowledge and experience working with psychiatry, cognitive support, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. As a person, you are confident in your professional role and have good self-awareness.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team where collaboration and initiative are highly valued. We see that you value this like us and are good at structuring your work and can drive your own processes forward. We consider it essential that you have a good attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. Personal suitability is highly emphasized.

Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form is a requirement.
