About the Position

As a nurse with us in Ward 19, you will be responsible for the psychiatric care process - working closely with the patient and other care staff.

You will do this by planning, implementing, and evaluating care measures related to the patient's needs. This may include supporting the patient in regaining routines, stabilizing sleep, managing anxiety, and more.

Collaboration with other professionals and care neighbors is also part of your duties, as well as performing and following up on medical treatments, managing medications, and monitoring their effects and side effects. We want you as an employee to feel that you have the opportunity to take responsibility for your knowledge, that you dare to make your own decisions, and feel secure in doing so. When a patient leaves our ward, we want this to be done with a sense of having been seen, listened to, and given tools to empower their recovery.

In inpatient care, we work across departmental boundaries, which means you will also be trained in other departments, 26 and Piva. Your basic schedule will be based on Ward 19 but may include occasional shifts in other departments if the organization has a need for it.

We are looking for both those who want to work day/evening (38.5h per week).

About the Workplace

Ward 19 is a workplace where you can utilize your full competence, and teamwork is a prerequisite. We are a general psychiatric ward that works closely with PIVA and Ward 26; together, we constitute the inpatient care in Halmstad.

PIVA is a psychiatric intensive care unit with emergency reception and substitution reception, and Ward 26 is a general psychiatric ward focused on older individuals with various psychiatric diagnoses and psychosis care.

This means that as a nurse with us, you will be able to utilize your entire professional skill set but also broaden it.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have a specialist education in psychiatry, we consider this an advantage.

As a nurse in Ward 19, it is important that you are a leader who can and dares to prioritize. You are your most important work tool for creating a trusting care relationship and finding ways forward together with the patient. We expect you to have a positive view of people and a desire and drive to develop care.

We are keen to recruit the right person to our team. To thrive in this role, we prefer that you are independent and self-driven with the ability to lead and prioritize. You are also a person with a high degree of service mentality and the ability to collaborate in a team.
