Licensed Occupational Therapist Wanted for Our Rehab Unit

About the Position

The work primarily takes place within our inpatient care at Norrtälje Hospital, where you will be active in the geriatric, medical, surgical, and orthopedic wards.

Some outpatient care may occur, providing opportunities for both varied and specialized tasks. In the ward, you will work with the rehabilitation of hospitalized patients with various diagnoses. You will work closely with your colleagues and have easy access to other staff on the ward, where you are part of the team.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Assessment and treatment of ADL abilities and cognitive abilities.
• Assessment of assistive device needs.
• Instructing and training patients in the use of assistive devices as needed.
• In some cases, home visits with patients from inpatient care to review the home environment to facilitate a safe transition from the hospital.
• Interprofessional collaboration.
• Supervision of students.

About You

For this position, you need:

• Education as a licensed occupational therapist.
• Driver's license for manual transmission and driving experience.
• Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Previous experience working in inpatient care.

The rehab operation consists of both outpatient and inpatient care as well as home rehabilitation and special accommodations. You can easily reach us by comfortable and Wi-Fi-equipped direct bus from Stockholm. In addition to occupational therapists, we also have physiotherapists, speech therapists, dietitians, and social workers. We collaborate closely in teams within our unit, but also together with employees from various professional fields in the hospital's wards and clinics.
