Project Leader for Support Conversations with Incarcerated Women and Non-Binary Individuals
KVINNOJOUREN LUNDSkåne län, Lund
Previous experience is desired
We are looking for someone who wants to lead and manage projects through operational work with support conversations for incarcerated women and non-binary individuals within the framework of the project Right to Support. You will be welcomed into a well-established project with good routines and contacts where the needs of the target group are well anchored.
About Kvinnojouren Lund
Kvinnojouren Lund is a non-profit organization that has worked for over 45 years for an equal society free from violence. We offer support to women, men, and trans individuals with experience of violence in close relationships, as well as to their relatives and professionals. Through violence prevention work, knowledge enhancement, and advocacy, we strive to make a difference at the societal level.
About Right to Support
With the support of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, and with funding through state grants, Kvinnojouren Lund has been running the project Right to Support since 2024. The project was conducted through active focus group work alongside support measures to develop interventions according to the needs and wishes of the target group. The project is now being carried out for the third consecutive year and has been granted funding to manage the operational activities according to the developed plan for 2026.
The project aims to make support for individuals with experience of violence in close relationships available to incarcerated women and non-binary individuals at three of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's facilities in Skåne. The intervention gives participants the opportunity to process their own experiences of violence and to be informed about continued support structures after release.
You will work independently with support measures and ongoing documentation of results and contact with partners. You will have access to internal overall supervision from the HR manager and external supervision in specific support cases.
Responsibilities
- Plan and staff individual support conversations at prisons and detention centers.
- Plan, execute, and report interventions in accordance with the granted state funding for 2026 from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service.
- Ongoing contact with representatives from the Swedish Prison and Probation Service at each facility.
- Work to maintain a high and current level of knowledge within the area of responsibility and to disseminate this knowledge to colleagues.
- Assist in creating content for social media and the website based on the area of responsibility.
- Responsible for documenting, evaluating, and reporting results based on established project goals.
- Apply for and report financial resources.
Who are you?

You have worked particularly in the area of violence in close relationships based on different forms of violence with a good understanding of the normalization process, the breaking phase, and the various emotions it can entail. You have experience in project management within social work and are educated as a social worker, social pedagogue, or equivalent education. You should have good knowledge of discrimination issues, gender equality, and equality, as well as gender and LGBTQI issues. You have a norm-conscious approach with great respect for human rights and knowledge of discriminatory societal structures that hinder those seeking support from both seeking and receiving support from authorities and other support structures.
You enjoy working independently and have an easy time planning your work while also having great collaborative skills. If you have previous experience in non-profit work, as a volunteer, elected representative, or employee, this is an advantage but not a requirement.
