Beroendecentrum Stockholm is looking for PTP Psychologists

Beroendecentrum Stockholm is Sweden's largest addiction clinic. We offer support and assistance to individuals with problems related to alcohol, drugs, medications, or gambling. Our operations include emergency and inpatient care, local outpatient care, and highly specialized care. We also conduct university healthcare, research, and education.

We have over 50 clinics in the Stockholm region and work in interdisciplinary teams consisting of psychologists, doctors, nurses, and medical secretaries.

We have been offering practical training for psychologists (PTP) for many years and continuously strive to develop as a PTP employer. We have good knowledge of PTP and what should be included to ensure that the training is broad, diverse, and educational. Our PTP supervisors are trained to guide PTP psychologists and have experience in supervision. As a PTP psychologist, you will participate in PTP programs within both Beroendecentrum Stockholm and Region Stockholm. All to ensure you are ready to work independently as a licensed psychologist when your PTP is completed.

Workplaces

This year's 5 PTP positions are available at clinics for adults with harmful use or addiction in Stockholm:

• One PTP position at the Lifestyle Clinic 60% and eSupport 40%.
• Two PTP positions at the Magnus Huss Clinic.
• One research PTP with 50% clinical training at the Magnus Huss Clinic and 50% in a research project conducted at the Alcohol and Health Clinic Riddargatan 1. The purpose of the research project is to investigate long-term outcomes after treatment for alcohol dependence. Research tasks for the PTP candidate will include: data collection, analysis, and written compilation.
• One PTP position at the Liljeholmsberget Addiction Clinic.

The Work

A PTP position with us provides broad experience in adult psychiatry as harmful use or addiction often occurs simultaneously with other mental health issues.

You will work with assessment and evidence-based treatment of harmful use or addiction and psychiatric comorbidity, such as depression, anxiety disorders, and neuropsychiatric disabilities. Group therapy and patient and relative education may be included. Teamwork and collaboration with healthcare neighbors and other agencies are important parts of the job.

Qualifications

You have a psychology degree or will obtain your psychology degree in the spring semester of 2026. Training in broad evidence-based psychological treatment is a merit. Experience working or interning in addiction care or other psychiatry is also a merit. For the research position, previous work with research and/or quantitative data processing is a merit. Having worked with socially vulnerable individuals can be beneficial, but is not a requirement to do PTP with us.
