The Hospital in Ystad is an emergency hospital with a wide range of specialized care. We offer health and medical care characterized by quality, accessibility, a holistic view, and compassion.
The Rehabilitation Unit (RU) serves all inpatient departments at the Hospital in Ystad. The responsibility area also includes rehabilitation within specialized outpatient care and specialized day rehabilitation at the hospital. We are about 40 employees with various professions, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, medical secretaries, nursing assistants, and nurses. We work in teams with other professionals within the hospital's various departments and clinics. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We now welcome two physiotherapists/physical therapists with assignments located in the orthopedic department at the Hospital in Ystad. We offer you an open and positive work environment and a job characterized by personal responsibility, participation, and teamwork.
The job responsibilities consist of examination, assessment, and treatment/rehabilitation of individuals of all ages with orthopedic diagnoses. The job may also include some outpatient care at the orthopedic clinic. Weekend work may occur.
In the orthopedic department, you will work closely with an occupational therapist and also together with other professional categories. As a physiotherapist/physical therapist, you contribute your specific professional expertise in assessing the patient. Together with others in the team, you provide the patient with good and safe care and participate in the care planning process. We have a close collaboration with the municipality/primary care in planning and reporting before the patient's discharge. The work also includes supervision of department and physiotherapy colleagues and possibly students.
QUALIFICATIONS
We welcome you who are a licensed physiotherapist/physical therapist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish at least at level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale. It is an advantage if you have further education in orthopedics. Additionally, you have basic computer skills and preferably experience and knowledge in the medical record system Melior.
To thrive in the role, you need to have good initiative and be able to independently assess, plan, and evaluate your work efforts. The job requires you to have a professional approach and a good ability to prioritize and organize work and make quick decisions. With a genuine interest in people, you always have the patient in focus. You enjoy working with others and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you are engaged, driven, and want to actively participate in the continued development of our operations together with us. We place great importance on personal suitability.
