About the Assignment

As a teacher in the leisure center, you are responsible for planning and implementing activities at our leisure center and teaching to some extent during the school day. Teaching is conducted according to qualifications. Suitable subjects to combine with leisure can be, for example, one or more of the practical or aesthetic subjects, preferably sports. Planning time is included in the schedule and is part of the total working hours. You will work together with another staff member at the leisure center.

We have a total of 36 children in the school, grades F-6, with an estimated number of leisure children of about 25-30. Medåkers Friskola has three classes; F, 1-3, and 4-6. Teaching in the lower and middle school is conducted in B-form. Some of the students' teaching takes place outdoors as part of the school's profile.

You plan and conduct teaching independently and with great pedagogical freedom. You eat pedagogical lunch together with the school's students and other teachers. You are mentored together with your colleagues at the leisure center by a qualified primary school teacher in the leisure center.

During the day, when the school is in session, you work as a support for children in need of special support.

About the School

At Medåkers Friskola, we welcome students in grades F-6. There is also a preschool for about 40 children.

The school has a gymnasium, craft rooms, and a large schoolyard with both a hockey rink and a football field. The food is prepared at the school by our chef Robert, and all students eat in the cafeteria together with their teacher.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is a qualified primary school teacher for the leisure center as well as one or more subjects in the lower and/or middle school.

We seek someone who is easy to collaborate with, flexible, solution-oriented, and above all has a burning interest in the well-being and knowledge development of the students. You see the outdoor environment as a natural learning environment during the school day, and you have a genuine interest in the school's profiling towards sports, nature/outdoor life, and outdoor pedagogy.

As we are a free school and a small unit, we see that you are a driving person who wishes to be involved in positively influencing and developing the operations together with the principal, colleagues, and management. Therefore, you need to be flexible and open to assisting with other tasks beyond your teaching position, such as being responsible for part of the opening or closing schedule at the leisure center.

Qualifications

- You must be a qualified teacher for the leisure center.

- You must be qualified in at least one subject in primary school.

- You preferably have two years of experience.

- Experience with students in need of special support and the ability to create accessible learning environments is an advantage.

- Experience or education in the school's profile areas such as sports, outdoor pedagogy, and nature/outdoor life is also an advantage.

- You must have very good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing, and good computer skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Position

Employment rate is approximately 75%, but may be increased under certain conditions. Seasonal position. Salary according to agreement.

Probationary employment applies. Start date after agreement.
