Textile Craft Teacher at Karlberg School

Are you a positive and engaged textile craft teacher ready for new challenges? We are now looking for a textile craft teacher for grades 7-9 at Karlberg School.

Karlberg School is a secondary school with approximately 400 students and about 50 staff members. The school is located in the central parts of Köping, close to both the city center and bus and train connections. Karlberg School has a music profile with about 15 students per grade. The vision of Karlberg School is "A safe school where everyone has the right to a good day and is prepared for the future." The school has an active development work focusing on knowledge, attendance, safety, and study peace.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a craft teacher, you will plan and conduct craft lessons for students in grades 7-9. You will work closely with the school's textile craft teachers on joint craft projects. You will also be a contact teacher together with a colleague for one class.

You will conduct creative teaching with strategies to reach students and promote their knowledge development. You enjoy utilizing students' ideas. The learning of the students is your focus, and you work to ensure that all students reach their full potential. You will work with formative assessment and make it clear to students how they can develop their knowledge.

Together with other staff, you will help develop your workplace through ideas and improvement suggestions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• We are looking for a certified teacher in crafts for grades 7-9 who has a strong commitment to developing students' knowledge.
• You are a clear leader and can create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
• You have the ability to translate the curriculum and other governing documents into your work.
• You have a good structure in your lessons.
• You take responsibility for safety in the craft room and maintain good order regarding the room and materials.
