We are now looking for several summer substitutes at Vardaga Home Care Ekholmen for work during the summer of 2026. We are looking for substitutes who can work during the periods of weeks 25-28 and weeks 29-32, or both periods.

About the role
Your task is to provide quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs. The work consists of helping elderly people in their own homes with personal care, service tasks such as shopping and cleaning, and responding to safety alarms. The tasks also include performing social documentation and carrying out certain health and medical tasks delegated by a nurse. Thanks to you, our customers can continue to live at home and maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, service, and aging.
About Vardaga Ekholmen
At Vardaga Ekholmen, we work with creating security for our customers, which means we work with continuity. The customer should recognize the staff, and the staff should recognize their customers. As much as possible, you will work as home care staff with us on "your" line.
We are based at Räknestickan's security housing located in the middle of our home care area. It is easy to get here by public transport, and at Räknestickan, there are also staff facilities, and we have 35 security apartments in our security housing.
We have a clear organization regarding different roles, routines, and what is expected of our employees out in the field.
We have present managers – so our employees receive the support they need.
We have a unique working hours model where our employees can largely be offered to work full-time, Monday to Friday, which is unusual in healthcare and social care.
We have a dementia team with in-depth knowledge in the area of dementia and who coach their colleagues in working with our customers who have dementia. Perhaps you want to become part of the team?
Your experience and knowledge
We believe that you who are applying to us:

- are curious about other people and have a social approach.
We prefer that you are a trained nursing assistant and have worked a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills, experience in documentation, and local knowledge are also meritorious. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in speech and writing is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will support you and give you the opportunity to grow.
