SSAB Oxelösund is now looking for an experienced media/mechanical performer for Primary Metallurgy. With us, you will be an important part of a team that works with advanced equipment and contributes to sustainable steel production.

Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will continue to be so in the future. In our homes, in bridges that connect our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries that emits the most greenhouse gases in the world. This must change. Therefore, we have developed the world's first fossil-free process for steel production and are committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will be important in realizing this goal and thereby contributing to a green transition of the entire steel industry.

As a media/mechanical performer, you will work with mechanical maintenance and pipe welding within Primary Metallurgy. The role includes planned maintenance to ensure long-term operational reliability, as well as urgent interventions as needed to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Selection will take place continuously, so send in your application today.

Your main responsibilities

  • Perform preventive mechanical maintenance and repairs within Primary Metallurgy.
  • Work with pipe welding and assembly.
  • Ensure high quality and follow safety procedures.
  • Participate in improvement work and development of maintenance processes.

About you

  • You have experience in mechanical maintenance and pipe welding and enjoy working in an industrial environment.
  • You are meticulous, responsible, and have a high safety mindset. As a person, you are solution-oriented, flexible, and easy to collaborate with, while also being able to work independently.
  • You have a positive attitude towards development and want to contribute to improvements in the business.

Our offer

At SSAB, diversity and inclusion are part of our culture. We use our values – driving, authentic, and one step ahead – in our daily decision-making, always with the customer in focus.
