We build, own, manage, and rent out municipal operational premises and rental housing in Strängnäs municipality, a dynamic idyll in strong expansion in the center of the Mälar region. With double tracks to Stockholm, communication and construction are increasing.

Strängnäs Fastighets AB and Strängnäs Bostads AB are wholly-owned subsidiaries of Strängnäs municipality with a total portfolio of approximately 288,000 square meters of premises and housing. We want to be the good landlord for all our tenants and offer quality operational premises and housing with a high level of service. For several years, we have actively worked to develop the organization and work processes to create a positive workplace with clear and simple methods.

We started the work to increase everyone's participation through the establishment of the new value base RESPECT, DEVELOPMENT, OPENNESS, AND CLARITY. The goal is to create a common understanding of the value base and thus be able to live by it in everyday life. Today, we are about 100 employees, working with maintenance, administration, property development, cleaning, and property management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Construction Project Manager, your responsibilities include: as a project manager responsible for all phases of the project, from investigation and calculation to implementation and follow-up. The projects may involve new construction or renovations focusing on our housing. You listen to and create added value for our customers and ensure that justified expectations are met and preferably exceeded in a customer-oriented and businesslike manner. The customers are primarily internal clients and our housing tenants. The role includes procurement and follow-up of contractors and consultants.

QUALIFICATIONS

We believe you are currently a construction project manager with an academic background or equivalent and have several years of experience. It is advantageous if you have good knowledge of contract law and experience in energy-saving projects and environmental certification of buildings. To fit into the role of construction project manager, you need to confidently switch between being a project leader and a humble team player. You are proactive, meticulous in your documentation, good at communicating verbally and in writing, and enjoy working independently.

We see that you are confident in yourself and thus have personal maturity and drive. Since you often have several projects running simultaneously, you should easily structure situations and quickly see what needs to be done.

Your background/experience

• University education or technical training in, for example, construction, civil engineering, or equivalent.
• At least three to five years of experience as a construction project manager.
• Familiar with working with municipal housing tenants as clients.
• Driving license B.
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

Meritorious

• Experience in installation technology and energy efficiency.
• Knowledge of CAD, property economics, contract law.
• Knowledge of project cost economics.
• Experience in public procurement (LOU).
• Experience in collaborative contracts.
• Experience in process work and decision-making paths within municipal operations.
