Within the social care administration, about 1200 engaged employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability support, and social psychiatry, individual and family care.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Do you want to make a difference? We are looking for you who want to work as a substitute within LSS - social psychiatry.
We work based on each user's need for support with the aim that our users can be involved in society and live as independently as possible. As a personal assistant, you provide support to the user in all aspects of life. You start from the user's individual needs and consciously work to help that person use their abilities as independently as possible. As a personal assistant, you will play an important role in the user's life - you are there when it really counts, and your contribution is significant for the user's well-being and participation in everyday life.
You support and assist with personal care such as personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, daily chores such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning, leisure activities, and social contacts as well as delegated healthcare.
You have the opportunity for varied working hours and there is also a chance for summer work.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have a warm approach and a genuine desire to help others. Experience or education is an advantage, but your attitude and commitment are most important to us.
We place great importance on your personal suitability.
Requirements
- Work in home care, special housing, and LSS may involve working alone, situations of threat and violence, heavy lifting, and medication management. According to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations regarding minors' working environment (AFS 2012:3), 6 § and 8 §, such work is not allowed for minors. Therefore, the person hired must be at least 18 years old by June 30.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- You can handle a physically demanding job with a lot of movement where heavy lifting may occur
- You work according to basic hygiene routines and in short-sleeved shirts
- You can work with both men and women
Desirable
- Education in care or pedagogy (attach relevant grades/certificates with your application)
- Experience of similar work in elderly care or LSS
- Driving license B
- You can cycle
Other
For work with children and young people under 18 years, a police record extract is required.
