About the workplace
We are now looking for a child secretary and hope you want to be a part of our wonderful team and community at the Family Home Unit! Here you will be offered a meaningful and varied job in an engaged and friendly workgroup.
In the role of child secretary, you will work with following up on children placed in foster homes. You will have close collaboration with our foster home secretaries and work in a team around the placed child and their network. You will work and plan to ensure that the children have a favorable situation and positive development, in close cooperation with important people around the child.
The workgroup consists of seven social workers responsible for the placed children and eight foster home secretaries who recruit and guide the foster homes, as well as two senior social workers and a unit manager.
Job responsibilities
Your primary job responsibilities are to follow up on foster care for the placed children in close collaboration with the foster home secretaries.
- Handling and documentation according to applicable legislation.
- Collaborate with foster home secretaries and other professional parties.
- Maintain contact with the children's guardians, foster homes, and other networks.
- Ability to build relationships with the children and other important persons in the network.
The work involves a significant amount of documentation, so you need to enjoy writing and have a good ability to express yourself in writing.
As a child secretary with us, you will receive a good introduction, method and process guidance in a workgroup with extensive experience. - Who enjoys collaborating and has initiative, which you demonstrate by building positive relationships with children/parents and colleagues.
- Who can meet children and parents in difficult situations, which requires you to be secure, calm, and stable in your professional role.
- You can plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks effectively.
- Who has good communication skills and works with the child's best interests in focus.
Qualifications
- You are a social worker or have another higher education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
It is an advantage if you have worked as a social worker in the area of children and youth or other work related to authority exercise within Social Services. It is also advantageous if you have experience with BBIC and the operational system Lifecare.
