About the Job

Lagerbladsgatan 4 is a BmSS (Housing with Special Services) according to LSS for individuals within social psychiatry and co-occurring disorders.

The operation started in 2023 and is located in a newly built house in Gårdstens centrum.

Our focus is to create a safe, homely, and structured everyday life where residents are given the opportunity to develop their abilities based on individual needs and conditions.

We are now looking for support assistants who want to be part of further developing the operation. Together, we create a group home where residents are inspired and motivated to use, challenge, and develop their abilities. We work with individual pedagogical solutions to provide each resident with good conditions for success and development.

This is a round-the-clock operation where we start from the residents' needs. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts.

The role includes case management, which means you have extended responsibility for one or more residents. This includes developing individually tailored working methods, social documentation, and collaborating within the professional network around the resident. A support pedagogue is available to assist you in this work.

You will work towards and be part of a good working environment that creates a favorable climate for both residents' and colleagues' development. Together, we do important and meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives. Tasks also include medication management according to delegation and common household tasks such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree from the Health and Care Program, support assistant training, or the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social or pedagogical work.
  • Alternatively has post-secondary specialization in the disability area covering at least 200 YH points, 120 university credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies.
  • Or 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for individuals with disabilities.

The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.

It is desirable that you have experience in care, work within health and social care, and experience with the target group within social psychiatry and/or co-occurring disorders.

If you have experience with any of the following methods, we see it as a positive:

  • LAB (Low Arousal Approach)
  • ACC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication)
  • Signs as Support
  • Clarifying Pedagogy
  • ESL (An Independent Life)
  • IBIC (Individual Needs in Focus)
  • MI (Motivational Interviewing)

Communication is an important part of the work, which requires that you have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, which means a requirement for passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirement may be offered to take a language test through the test user Educateit. You need to have good computer skills, and if you also have experience with social documentation, we see it as an advantage.

To succeed as a support assistant with us, you take responsibility for your own and the group's tasks, always focusing on the users' best interests. You show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.

You listen to other people in order to understand their needs. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you contribute to a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.

Warm welcome with your application!
