The Health and Care Administration, with its approximately 1500 employees, is one of the administrations in the city of Mölndal and encompasses elderly care, support for disabilities, and health and medical care.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
With the respite service, caregivers are given the opportunity for relief. As a respite worker, you perform the service in the family's home or local area. The tasks vary based on the family's situation and needs. Tasks may include providing support regarding hygiene, dressing and undressing, transfers, communication, play, and light tutoring.
The escort service aims to provide individuals with support in various areas of life. As an escort, you support the individual in carrying out different activities. You provide support in planning and preparation based on the individual's wishes and needs. The goal of the service may be to practice using public transport, to engage in social contexts, and to perform meaningful activities. Activities are planned with the individual and may include bowling, exercising, visiting museums, or going to the cinema.
The assignments average 15-20 hours/month, and there is an opportunity to perform one or more assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements for the position:
- Experience and knowledge of disabilities
- Experience with clear pedagogical methods/ AAC
- Experience working with a low-arousal approach
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
- Experience and knowledge of autism
- Experience working with challenging behavior
Desirable for the position:
- Education in health and care or child and leisure.
- Interest and knowledge in computer games, exercise, sports, music, dance, social sciences, history, animals, and nature.
As a person, you have a good demeanor and show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are pedagogical and gain energy from contributing to others' learning, and you have the ability to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives. In addition, you are service-oriented and have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and you strive to present solutions.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, where your personality and competence play a significant role in matching the right assignment.
