Job Responsibilities

The unit is divided into four teams: reception team, violence team, child team, and youth team. The reception team receives reports and applications regarding new cases in the unit and also serves as an advisory body to, for example, preschools and schools when there is concern for children and youth. The child team, youth team, and violence team investigate, make decisions, and follow up on decided interventions based on various types of issues, such as lack of care at home, relationship issues, and criminality. Each team has its own 1st Social Worker who leads the daily work in the unit and is responsible for providing close and regular methodological support. We are now looking for a 1st Social Worker for our youth team.

We have a strong focus on approach, our clients' participation, and ensuring that documentation is carried out securely and clearly. We also place great importance on our collaboration with the Advice and Support Unit, where outpatient care and the municipality's family therapists are organized, but we also work closely with colleagues in other parts of Individual and Family Services, such as the Family Unit, Adult Unit, and Financial Support Unit. Other important partners include preschools and schools.

As a 1st Social Worker, you are a key person in the unit's management group and work closely with the unit manager and other 1st Social Workers to drive quality, stability, and development in the organization.

The assignment as a 1st Social Worker includes:

• Leading and ensuring quality
• Supporting and guiding social workers in investigations, assessments, and choice of interventions.
• Responsible for your team's individual methodological guidance.
• Following up that routines, legislation, and secure handling are adhered to.
• Planning and leading the unit's operational meetings together with your 1st colleagues.

Supporting and structuring

• Distributing cases together with your colleagues and creating structure in the daily work. Introducing and supporting new employees.
• Being a safe, present function when difficult assessments or acute situations arise.

Collaborating and representing

• Participating in developing routines, working methods, and quality across the entire unit and together with other partners.
• Participating in collaboration forums internally and externally.
• Representing the social committee in court.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a social worker or has equivalent education that meets the eligibility requirements to perform certain tasks in social services for children and youth.
• Has several years of experience in authority exercise within the child and youth area.
• Has a good ability to organize, prioritize, and express themselves clearly in speech and writing.
• Is confident in your assessments and has a coaching approach.
• Enjoys the role where you both lead, support, and develop others.
• Has the ability to see the whole before the parts.
• Has a genuine commitment to children's rights and well-being.
• Previous experience in leadership is an advantage.

A valid driver's license (B) is required.

Selection and interviews will be conducted continuously during the application period.
