BUS (Children and Youth in Svenljunga) is a cross-administrative unit in Svenljunga municipality responsible for preventive and health-promoting work for children and young people aged 0–24 years. Our goal is to create a safe and inclusive society where all children and young people in Svenljunga have the best possible conditions to live “the best life.” BUS is now looking for an engaged and creative prevention worker for a parental leave position.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Prevention Worker, you will primarily work with children aged 6-12 and their important adults. Your task is to provide children in Svenljunga municipality with good conditions to succeed in life.

You will work with:

• creating positive, inclusive, and empowering activities
• creating opportunities for spontaneous sports and other physical activities
• supporting and coaching children and their important adults
• creating creative meeting places
• building and maintaining good relationships with children and their important adults
• actively contributing to the development of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with education and experience in social work, pedagogy, or another relevant background. You also have a genuine interest in working to make a difference for children, young people, and their important adults.

We expect you to be creative, solution-oriented, and have a good ability to think outside the box. You need to be flexible and willing to work in the evenings since we focus on reaching children, youth, and parents during their leisure time.

To succeed in our goal - to create good conditions in life for our children and youth - we also believe you are equipped with empathy, patience, and a large portion of humor.

Of course, you can work independently based on given conditions but also thrive as part of our wonderful team!
