Daily activities are an initiative based on the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons, LSS.

The purpose of daily activities is to offer meaningful employment. The employment is tailored to each person's individual needs, conditions, and wishes. Within the department for daily activities, there are 13 different operations to meet this.

We are now looking for a support assistant for a daily activity that is a Business Group at Arenan. The support assistant is responsible for ensuring that tasks/activities are carried out in collaboration with the workplace, and a contract will be signed with the employer. As a support assistant, you will be responsible for the group with the support of the operations manager and educator. Many of the tasks will be outdoors, so it is important to enjoy this type of assignment. The operation should also offer users the opportunity to grow, become independent, and be offered a gradual transition.

Responsibilities

To work together with the unit manager, operations manager, and support educator in accordance with the goals and guidelines that apply to daily activities. You should provide support in the individual’s daily activities based on each person's needs through clarifying pedagogy and in accordance with individual implementation plans and routines.

Collaboration with relatives, representatives, and other important people around the individual is part of the assignment.

We collaborate across unit boundaries, so shifts at another unit may occur.

Qualifications

You should have completed the Care and Nursing program or the Child and Recreation program with a focus on social activities. Approved grades are a requirement for the position. You should have experience working with and knowledge of individuals with intellectual and/or mental disabilities.

Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and clarifying pedagogy is a prerequisite for the job.

We expect you to have a positive view of people, be flexible, proactive, and attentive, and have the ability to work both individually and in a group.

We also expect you to support the municipality's principles for employees, which include seeing oneself as part of a larger whole for the common mission, focusing on the individual when performing your work, being loyal to the assignment and the decisions made, and contributing to the development of the operation.

A driving license (B) is required.
