Your role with us

As a school nurse, you have the opportunity to make a difference at the individual, group, and organizational levels. The daily work of the school nurse includes health visits, screening examinations, and health conversations. Vaccinations, open clinics, health education, and collaboration with other professionals within student health through student health team meetings are also a natural part of the assignment. As a school nurse, you will also participate in quality assurance and development at the school. You will have your entire position at Öllsjöskolan. In addition to being part of the school's student health team, you will also be part of the working group that makes up parts of student health.

Who are we looking for?

You who are applying are a licensed nurse with advanced training in health and medical care for children and adolescents or open health and medical care/district nurse alternatively school nurse. We want you to be a strong driving force in health-promoting work and have experience working in teams.

It is an advantage if you have experience working as a school nurse as well as experience working with children and adolescents. Good knowledge of the Swedish school system is also meritorious. Of course, you have a good ability to use digital technology as a tool in your daily work, and it is an advantage if you have experience with the journal system Prorenata.

To succeed in the role, you have the ability to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. Furthermore, you are a person with good collaboration skills and a sense of responsibility. Being meticulous and structured are also qualities we are looking for.

When we want to offer you the position, you are required to present an extract from the police record for us to be able to employ you, according to the provisions in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.

This is us

Öllsjöskolan provides education from preschool to grade 9 and after-school care for children in grades F-6. We work in two tracks. In each track, there are three working groups divided into F-3, 4-6, and 7-9. The working groups for F-6 also include activities for children in after-school care, and for students in 7-9, there are activities in the student café. There is also a working group that works for student health.

At the school, there is dedicated staff with a positive and inclusive approach who want to provide students with a good school. The educators' experience and competence are utilized to achieve a holistic view and high quality. We achieve high results and are looking for employees who can contribute to this. We place great importance on students having knowledge of what skills are assessed in each subject and how the student can work towards these.

The school is in an exciting development phase, and we are working a lot with the importance of formative assessment and student participation, among other things through student-led development talks. We also work to create safety and well-being and to achieve a sense of community for the entire school. Students/children are inspired and motivated through experiences, hands-on work, and subject-integrated teaching in both outdoor and indoor environments.

In after-school care, we offer a meaningful and stimulating activity that contributes to learning and development. With this, we aim to achieve job satisfaction and increased understanding - a good learning experience!
