ÖSTERGÖTLANDS STADSMISSION

12 days left
to apply for the job

Everyone we meet at Stadsmissionen has a story. Stories about finding a place to sleep, being hungry, being involuntarily alone, or being subjected to violence and threats. We meet the people behind these stories every day, all year round. And we work every day, all year round, to help them move towards a better life. At Stadsmissionen, you have the opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives, become part of something bigger, and help create a more humane society.

About the Job

Do you want to help create concrete opportunities for people in economic vulnerability – while also contributing to reduced food waste and a more sustainable future? We are now looking for someone who wants to work proactively and relationship-building with our operations for donated food.

Östergötlands Stadsmission receives food and other goods that would otherwise have gone to waste. Our collaborations are based on reciprocity, responsibility, and the desire to make a difference. We accept goods from the food industry that have a short shelf life, have been mislabelled, overproduced, or have damaged packaging – but also from companies that want to contribute socially by donating part of their production.

In this role, you will work both strategically and operationally. You will map wholesalers and producers in our region, identify potential donors, and build new collaborations. In your contact with companies, you will always represent Stadsmissionen and our values, and you will be a clear ambassador for our brand and our sustainability idea. Through your way of meeting people and building trust, you open doors for collaborations that make a real difference – both for people and for the environment. Part of your time will also be spent working in our Food Central and Food Mission.

About You

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, structuring their work, and driving their processes forward with both precision and commitment. You have excellent customer service skills and are comfortable meeting people. Building relationships and creating trust comes naturally to you, and you are used to communicating professionally with various types of business contacts. As an ambassador for Stadsmissionen in external contexts, you have a positive and credible way of communicating our mission, values, and work. You are solution-oriented, see opportunities, and find paths forward easily. You understand the importance of customer experience and satisfaction, and you care about long-term, sustainable relationships.

To be considered for the position, you need to have a B driver's license and access to your own car. Experience in B2B or proactive work within the food industry is a plus.

Other

  • Are you ready to make a difference? We welcome your application as soon as possible; recruitment is ongoing!
  • The position is a temporary employment at 50% until December 31, 2026.
  • We would like you to start as soon as possible.
  • A criminal record check is required upon hiring.
