Job Responsibilities

As a psychologist with us, you will work clinically with interventions at the specialist care level. You will represent your profession's perspective in the team and have a versatile role where you work with the child in focus, from start to finish. This means that you will work broadly in various areas, such as assessment, investigation/part of investigation, and treatment, with a primary emphasis on investigative work. You will collaborate closely with different professional groups and external partners such as schools, social services, and other healthcare providers. At BUP Clinic Västmanland, there are teams with social workers, therapists, nurses, doctors, occupational therapists, medical secretaries, and psychologists.

Currently, we have an increased focus across BUP Västmanland on modernizing our working methods and increasing accessibility for patients and relatives seeking our services. About the Workplace

BUP in Västmanland is regional with clinics in Sala, Västerås, Köping, and Fagersta. There are also specialized units, inpatient care places, and an emergency department. Our goal is to provide care tailored to each child's specific needs. We work based on evidence and proven experience and are characterized by a health-promoting approach.

A regional psychiatric research center has, for example, been established where psychiatric research is gathered across the entire administration.

Qualifications

You who are applying are a licensed psychologist. Experience in evidence-based treatment work or from child psychiatric care is an advantage. Since you need to communicate verbally and in writing with patients, relatives, and colleagues, good knowledge of the Swedish language is required.

You are a secure person who sees opportunities and is willing to share your ideas. You have an awareness and understanding of the possibilities and limitations that may exist in the systems and organizations you collaborate with or work in. This is a job for you who are passionate about working with children, adolescents, and their families and have an empathetic approach and can adapt your way of communicating.
