Your mission with us

In daily activities, we work to ensure that individuals can participate in a community and have a meaningful, structured, and developing activity. The goal of the effort is to support personal development, promote independence and participation in society, and counteract passivity and isolation.

As a support assistant/guide, you support users in their workday, focusing on a practical and pedagogical approach. You are there as a coaching support in tasks that occur in the Bistro and in other activities created based on users' interests, abilities, and needs. The tasks can vary and can also be carried out in other operations within Luleå Municipality, where you are there as support.

The users' needs for support can vary and may include everything from structure, communication, and guidance to more practical interventions in work tasks. Together with colleagues, you are responsible for planning, adapting, and following up on activities. Documentation is part of the job, and you establish and update action plans based on the user's goals, wishes, and needs.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude and a genuine interest in working with people with disabilities. Furthermore, it is required that you have:

  • Professional experience supporting people with disabilities.
  • Good digital skills and can handle phones, apps, computers, and programs without problems, as well as the ability to quickly learn new digital systems and tools as needed.
  • Read and can present grades in Swedish at least equivalent to grade 9.

We consider it an advantage if you have:

  • Training as a support assistant or other training that the employer deems relevant.
  • Professional experience in daily activities and employment within SoL and LSS.
  • Experience in service work, such as cafes, shops, or similar.

As a person, you have a good ability to collaborate with both users and colleagues and find solutions to problems. You are confident in meeting people and comfortable working at a pace that can sometimes be high. You have a structured working method, create clarity, and contribute to security in both the workgroup and the users' everyday lives. In this recruitment, we place great emphasis on personal competencies.

The position is available from June 1, 2026, and a probationary period may apply.
