Activity Coordinator

Job Description

The position is a summer substitute during the absence of regular staff in the summer of 2026.

The role is as an activity coordinator at two special accommodations, Tallviksgården and Brännagården.

As an activity coordinator, you will conduct therapeutic activities for the residents at our special accommodations. This includes organizing coffee breaks, painting, crafting, and providing music entertainment or other similar activities. When the weather is nice, residents often sit outside or go for a walk.

You will also be responsible for planning and designing the activities that are organized. Often, it is the activity coordinator or other staff who lead the activity, but sometimes an external person may also come in. You need to be structured, creative, and responsive to the wishes that may exist and plan the activities based on the residents participating.

Qualifications

Education

It is an advantage if you are educated in healthcare and social care.

Experience

You should have experience working with the elderly.

Personal Qualities

The job requires that you can work independently. It is important that you are social and enjoy working with elderly people. The work involves a lot of contact with residents, staff, and relatives, so good communication is essential.
