In Gällivare municipality, we have a unit with all authority exercises within the areas of social services. We are now looking for social workers who want to work with authority exercises within Children and Young People. We focus on close leadership and have a coordinator for, among other things, supervision.

The operation for children and young people consists of social workers who investigate children and young people, family law, foster care, open care, LSS, and family counseling.

Job Duties

As a social worker in children and young people, you primarily work with SoL and LVU. You work with families based on incoming reports or applications from guardians or youth. Your duties include working with follow-ups for children and young people in open interventions that the unit's open care implements, but also follow-ups of placements in foster homes and HVB.

We strive to provide families with support at an early stage, and as far as possible, we work with home-based solutions. The work includes collaboration with other colleagues within our organization as well as internal and external cooperation.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work. As a social worker, you should have good knowledge of applicable legislation and possess a humanistic view of people. It is advantageous if you have previous work experience, training in BBIC, MI, Sign of Safety, Children's Conversations, or other relevant in-depth knowledge.

You should be able to work independently but also enjoy collaborating in a group and maintaining good relationships. You are service-oriented, solution-focused, and have a flexible approach as the work may involve urgent decisions. You need to be confident in yourself and have the ability to set boundaries while maintaining a professional demeanor. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Driver's license B is required.

Upon employment, a criminal record extract from the police is required.

Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is an advantage when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Full-time, permanent employment. The position includes on-call duty.

Probationary employment may be applied.

Weekly working hours 35.91 hours/week and one day off after on-call duty during the weekend.

Monthly salary, we apply individual salary setting.
