Business Description

The Department of Functional Support offers assistance and services to children, adolescents, and adults with disabilities. We work based on LSS and the Social Services Act to strengthen the individual's independence, security, and participation. The department includes daily activities, housing with special services, accommodation for social support, support and service housing, short-term accommodation for children, leisure activities, respite and companion services, as well as personal assistance. The Department of Functional Support makes a real difference in people's daily lives and creates conditions for an independent and meaningful life for all.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant at Föreningsgatan, you should be able to provide individually tailored support. You will guide the user in daily living and work structured based on their needs and according to the law's goals and intentions. You should be able to work independently and collaborate with others while maintaining a professional approach and demeanor. You also have a role as a contact person, which includes working with the user, other professionals, and representatives to establish, follow up, and work based on the user's implementation plan. In the organization, we use the documentation system Pulsen Combine. Your work also includes guiding/supporting/participating in and planning activities, as well as providing support to the user in managing their home. The organization has common areas and facilities that you and the rest of the workgroup are responsible for.

Qualifications

You have a care education or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent. Knowledge and experience in the area of disabilities, developmental disorders, autism, psychiatry, or methodologies adapted for people with functional variations are meritorious. You should be able to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish and also be able to document according to applicable legislation. As a person, you are secure and confident in your role and have a good ability to act professionally in all situations that arise. The work involves physical activities with users, so you must have a basic physical ability and an interest in planning and carrying out activities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Under the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare municipality is the administrative municipality for Sami, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meritorious when applying for employment in Gällivare municipality.

Working Hours/Duration

Permanent employment. A probationary period may apply. Employment rate 100%, day/evening/weekend.
