The Procurement and Purchasing Administration leads the strategic purchasing work of the City of Gothenburg. Our mission is to ensure that the city's purchases are efficient, resource-smart, and sustainable over time. We do this by setting overarching strategies, procuring joint agreements, and supporting the entire City of Gothenburg with services in purchasing, such as purchasing analysis, training, and various types of consulting services.

The City of Gothenburg purchases goods and services for around 27 billion SEK every year. This makes us one of Sweden's largest purchasers, and with that comes great responsibility and significant opportunities. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Procurement and Purchasing Administration aims to be the first choice for support in procurement and purchasing issues for the city's operations. In this role, you will be involved in the development.

As a procurement specialist, you will have the opportunity to procure in a variety of areas. You will conduct procurements for city-wide agreements, as part of a long-term category or contract strategy, as well as procurement assignments on a consultancy basis for the city's operations. You will work broadly with both procurements and renewed competitive tenders for framework agreements for the city's operations. The operations in the City of Gothenburg vary greatly, and therefore your procurement assignments will also vary. In this role, we see that you have an interest in working with procurement in several different areas and categories.

Overall description of job content:

• Your role is to independently project manage and drive procurement work for the administration and for the city's operations.
• Together with various specialist roles, you will work in the procurement phase to achieve the city's goals and contribute to sustainable purchases and a sustainable city, ecologically, socially, and economically.
• After completing an assignment, you will hand over to the contract manager internally within the administration or to the operations that ordered the assignment. This means that the role does not include contract responsibility and contract management.

You will belong to the procurement and environment unit, which consists of 13 people, distributed among roles such as procurement specialist, environmental specialist, and administrator. In the unit, we have a breadth of experience and competence, and we are now looking for two new colleagues who want to be part of this and contribute to the development of the administration.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with several years of experience in driving procurements within the public sector and relevant post-secondary education for the position. We also see that you have experience in managing and being responsible for projects with multiple stakeholders.

You have a lot of drive and a desire to get things done. The City of Gothenburg is a large organization, and you need to be able to create and develop networks and contacts. You can easily switch perspectives and interact with many different target groups. You are communicative and have the ability to convey your knowledge. You can make trade-offs, communicate potential conflicts of interest, and clarify positions.

To succeed in the role, it is essential that you are confident in yourself and have a genuine desire to make good deals with the best interests of Gothenburg's residents in focus.
