TePe is a global company with headquarters and production in Malmö. Here we create innovative oral health products that contribute to healthy smiles around the world. We offer a unique work environment where you can influence and contribute to our technical investments, perfect for those who want to be close to both production and development. With us, you have the opportunity to be involved from the idea stage to operational equipment in production, and to work with technology development alongside engaged and competent colleagues who share your passion for technology and innovation.

Vision Engineer

TePe is growing and we are now looking for an experienced vision engineer with deep knowledge in machine vision to develop and optimize our vision systems.

In this role, you will work in project form and be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting advanced vision systems for quality control of products and packaging. You will drive the technical development of our existing systems (we work with Omron FH systems, among others) and lead the work from needs analysis to finished solution. Our production is located next door, providing a unique opportunity for close collaboration, inspiration, and quick feedback on your work.

Our production is in constant development, and you will identify the need for new systems and plan and implement upgrades of existing solutions – from idea to finished implementation. You will also play a key role in larger projects as part of our machine development team, where you will contribute throughout the process, from concept development to operational production line.

You will report to the Manager of Automation & Electronics and thus become part of our automation group, which includes automation engineers, electrical designers, and industrial electricians. The team is responsible for electrical design, installation, and commissioning, and works with programming PLCs, robots, servos, and safety as well as HMI, vision, and data collection.

The automation group is part of the Technology Development department with about 30 employees who drive development projects for Operations. In the projects, you will collaborate with project managers, designers, and automation and testing engineers to find the best technical solutions.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working with vision systems for the manufacturing industry.
  • Very good knowledge of cameras, lighting, and image processing algorithms.
  • Good knowledge of one or more high-level programming languages (e.g., C# or Python).
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Post-secondary technical education, e.g., university or engineering degree or a vocational education in a relevant field.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience in project management or have otherwise gained experience in coordinating stakeholders towards a common goal.

We place great emphasis on your ability to collaborate and communicate effectively. You express yourself fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and build long-term relationships based on trust and respect. You thrive in an environment characterized by competence, responsiveness, curiosity, and a lack of prestige – where ideas are created and developed together. You are driven by solving problems and see challenges as an opportunity to grow. With your natural curiosity, you thrive in a dynamic and changing environment where you can constantly learn new things. Taking initiative, being responsible, and independently planning and driving your work comes naturally to you.

TePe is in a strong growth phase, and our production is developing rapidly. Therefore, it is crucial that we continuously improve our processes, working methods, and tools – something you will play an important role in. We are looking for someone who wants to actively contribute to the team's development work and who is passionate about finding solutions that make a difference. For more information about the position, contact Elina Meijer, HR BP Operations, [email protected] (mailto:[email protected]). The deadline for applications is February 4, 2025.
