“Up and Coming” Production Manager for International Solenis in Helsingborg

As Production Manager, you will lead and develop the production and production planning team in Helsingborg. You will be responsible for optimizing processes and products, setting goals and guidelines, and ensuring that production targets are met in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. You will be involved in everything that happens and should not be afraid to put on your helmet and go out into production.
You will also act as a backup for process engineers and ensure availability on weekends according to an on-call schedule for emergency situations. The role includes personnel responsibility for about 30 employees, and you will report to the Plant Manager. Your responsibilities include, among others:
- Provide operational leadership to production shift teams to achieve production targets.
- Lead, coach, and develop staff to achieve departmental goals and ensure high performance.
- Optimize production operations, maximize output quality, and implement corrective actions for downtime.
- Promote and maintain high standards for environment, health, and safety (EHS) among team members.
- Develop and improve work methods, processes, and products, and evaluate new opportunities for optimization.
- Ensure compliance with facility procedures to maintain a safe and high-quality production environment.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders at all levels.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure all actions are completed and goals are achieved.
Your profile:
You have a master's degree in chemical engineering with a focus on process technology, or equivalent education in chemistry, manufacturing, or engineering (chemical knowledge is an absolute requirement). Perhaps you are a senior process engineer in chemistry and ready to take the next step to Production Manager.
You have previous experience in chemical manufacturing and preferably experience leading production-oriented operations. You have good computer skills and experience driving continuous improvement projects. You have a strong safety awareness with knowledge of ISO standards and safety certifications. Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
Experience with SAP and DeltaV is advantageous, as well as working with risk analyses and calculations. Leadership experience is also a plus.
As a person, you are engaged, open, and caring. You are also meticulous and structured with excellent organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Your leadership qualities are characterized by participation, clarity, and a holistic perspective. You are independent and results-oriented and do not hesitate in problem-solving and decision-making.
About the position:
The position is a permanent full-time employment located in Råå, Helsingborg, starting as agreed.
You typically work daytime on weekdays and have on-call duty on weekends according to schedule. Working hours are flexible depending on production needs and customer requirements.
