Your tasks

As an experienced designer in the technology department, you will be responsible for Nitator's product range where you, together with customers and colleagues, work on various development projects. Nitator designs stainless steel machines (mostly freezers) for the food industry, which are then manufactured, assembled, and tested in their own workshop. The machines are part of a range that requires continuous maintenance and further development.

Your main tasks:

• Manufacturing optimization of products in close collaboration with production, where your previous experience with welded sheet metal constructions or stainless steel manufacturing is an advantage.
• Design from detail level to finished installation where you actively participate but also lead the work towards the finished machine.
• Active participation in customer visits to discuss requirements and technical specifications.
• Be involved in test runs and prototype testing.
• Communication with new and existing suppliers.

Worth knowing

The office is located near Maria Station in Helsingborg, making it easy to commute to the office by public transport. If needed, there is an opportunity to work from home, but due to the nature of the work, high on-site presence is important. The role is a permanent position starting as soon as the right person is in place.

Our expectations

To succeed and thrive in the role, we hope you have:

• Several years of experience in machine design, especially in welded and processed constructions, often in stainless materials.
• Experience working with processed components in various material qualities.
• Familiarity with 3D design using AutoDesk Inventor and AutoCAD, or other CAD tools.
• Engineering degree in mechanical engineering and/or work experience from the manufacturing industry, preferably in stainless steel manufacturing.
• Experience in production technology and responsibility for assignments regarding manufacturing, time, and quality.
• Good computer skills, especially in MS Office, and preferably experience with business systems, such as Jeeves.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Driver's license (B), as the position involves travel.
