TePe is growing and we are now looking for an automation engineer with experience from the manufacturing industry. We are looking for someone who is driven to develop technical solutions that improve productivity, quality, and safety in industrial applications.

In this role, you will participate in development projects from idea to finished and operational machine. You will work with everything from small, fast special machines with servo control to entire production lines where robots are a central component. Thanks to our in-house production and technology development, you will have the opportunity to be close to the operations and directly see the results of your work.

You will primarily work in project form and be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting control systems for new production machines and production lines for our own production, as well as making changes and improvements to existing control systems and machines.

You will report to the Manager of Automation & Electronics and thus become part of our automation group, which gathers automation engineers, electrical designers, and industrial electricians. The team is responsible for electrical design, installation, and commissioning and works with programming of PLC, robots, servos, and safety as well as HMI, vision, and data collection.

The automation group is in turn part of the Technology Development department with about 30 employees who drive development projects for Operations. In the projects, you will collaborate with project managers, mechanical designers, electrical designers, and test engineers to find the best technical solutions.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in programming and commissioning for the manufacturing industry.
• Very good knowledge of PLC programming and experience with both robots and servos. (We have, among other things, a lot of CoDeSys today.)
• Good knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.
• Basic knowledge of a high-level programming language (such as C# or Python).
• Post-secondary technical education, e.g., university or engineering degree or a vocational education in automation.
