The section for thoracic anesthesia, intensive care, and perfusion is part of the thoracic and vascular care area at Skåne University Hospital (Sus). Here, heart, lung, and thoracic surgery, transplantation of thoracic organs, and corrective surgery for congenital heart defects (GUCH) in adults are performed.

The section has programs for ECLS/ECMO for both cardiac and respiratory failure. Intensive care for thoracic trauma as well as cardiac and respiratory failure is conducted internally. The section is authorized to provide national highly specialized care (NHV) for transplantation of thoracic organs and for GUCH activities, as well as regional assignments for ECLS/ECMO for respiratory failure. The section consists of 25 anesthesiologists and ten perfusionists.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for two perfusionists in training who want to develop with us!

As a perfusionist, you will work with various perfusion-related tasks including perfusion/ECMO in connection with cardiac surgery and ECMO in connection with cardiac and lung diseases in intensive care patients.

The thoracic and vascular care area offers this further education, which is a combination of theoretical (located in Aarhus, Denmark) and practical training (located at thoracic surgery, Sus, Lund). There are great opportunities to participate in the extensive research of the thoracic and vascular care area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with an education as a biomedical engineer, specialist nurse, biomedical analyst, or other education that we assess as equivalent. Work experience from healthcare is required. You have several years of experience in your profession. Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing is a prerequisite for the position.

We expect you to have basic knowledge of IT and systems knowledge. Experience in thoracic anesthesia, intensive care, and/or surgery is considered an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is flexible, communicative, and has good collaboration skills. Furthermore, we would like you to have an interest in research. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
