About the position
Wadköping's special housing will open at the turn of the year 2026/2027, and now you have the chance to be part of the entire journey leading up to the opening. Here you will have the opportunity to contribute with thoughts, ideas, and professional competence to create a safe, modern, and high-quality operation for our elderly.
As a nurse at Wadköping's special housing, you will have an independent and qualified responsibility for health and medical care interventions according to applicable legislation. You work person-centered with a focus on quality and patient safety. Your role includes contributing to the development of team-based working methods, and you are expected to actively participate in the development and improvement work of the operation. We work preventively in teams with nurses, occupational therapists, care staff, and unit managers to create good and safe care. We also collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists from the region.
As a nurse, you play an important key role in creating a safe and meaningful everyday life for our tenants. You will have nursing responsibility for a number of our tenants, which includes guiding them in care, health, and medical tasks.
Until the move to Wadköping at the turn of the year 2026/2027, your placement will be at Södermalmshemmet.

- be responsible for guidance and training in nursing
- instruct and delegate health and medical tasks to care staff
- maintain contact with and provide support to relatives
- document in various quality registers and operational systems
- participate in and drive continuous improvement and development of our operations
About the workplace
In Hälsokvarteret Wadköping, HSL-related activities, home care, and educational activities are gathered in common, completely newly built premises. From 2027, the block will also include a new special housing. The purpose of the co-location is to create conditions for developed forms of collaboration, more efficient working methods, and increased cooperation between different competencies.
Södermalmshemmet is located in Södercity right next to the city center and is the largest special housing for the elderly in Örebro municipality with 108 places distributed across 12 departments. Ten departments focus on cognitive impairment and two departments focus on somatic issues.
As a nurse with us, you will be part of the Health and Medical Care Organization (HS). All nurses and occupational therapists within the municipality's special housing work under one organization, allowing us to create better conditions, equitable care, and safeguard Örebro municipality's health and medical resources. For you as a nurse, this also means that you will have a manager who is fundamentally licensed and therefore well-versed in the issues you face in your work.

Qualifications
As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You enjoy having your own areas of responsibility and take responsibility for your tasks in an independent and structured way. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions, both with colleagues and tenants/customers/patients, is a given for you. You communicate clearly and have the ability to ensure that information is conveyed. Additionally, you easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language in a way that allows you to communicate with tenants/customers/patients and other staff, as well as document what the operation requires. Since the work involves digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required.

Requirements:
- licensed nurse
Desirable:
- experience working as a nurse
- driving license B
- experience in municipal health and medical care
- experience working in operational systems such as Treserva, Lifecare, Pascal, and Senior Alert
