Welcome to apply for a psychologist position with us at the General Psychiatric Outpatient Unit for Young Adults in Örebro! We have an experienced and driven group of psychologists with a breadth of different therapeutic orientations and competencies.

The General Psychiatric Outpatient Unit for Young Adults is a specialist service within the Health and Medical Care Administration that offers specialized care for mental illness and distress. The catchment area is Örebro Municipality and Lekeberg Municipality. Our mission is to assess, treat, and rehabilitate individuals aged 18-24 who are referred to our unit via referral or seek help on their own. The unit is a well-functioning entity with about 24 employees consisting of psychologists, occupational therapists, nurses, caregivers, treatment assistants, doctors, rehabilitation coordinators, medical administrative staff, and a unit manager. The psychologist group consists of 7 psychologists. The work environment is important to us, and we continuously invest in improvements, ongoing development of methods, processes, and working methods. We also work with supervision of students and new colleagues. We collaborate with primary care, habilitation, user organizations, the municipality's social psychiatry, and other care neighbors.

At Örebro University Hospital, wellness activities are offered in the form of a gym and group training. Our premises are located at Örebro University Hospital, close to the bus and train station and Örebro's beautiful city park.

As a psychologist at our unit, you will primarily work with assessments, investigations of neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), and treatment. Treatment work is conducted both individually and in groups. The treatment is based on science and proven experience and primarily follows the national care and intervention programs (VIP).

You will participate in treatment conferences together with other professional competencies to contribute based on your expertise and highlight current patient cases. You may also have the opportunity to be part of a referral group and participate in various development projects at the unit. You will also work as a consulting psychologist directed to one of our health centers in Örebro. Thus, you will be offered a varied and independent job with a high degree of participation and responsibility. This is in a unit with a good atmosphere and a well-integrated psychologist group.

Licensed psychologist or PTP.

Experience from general psychiatric or psychiatric specialist care is meritorious. Experience serving as a consulting psychologist at a health center is also meritorious. As a person, you are flexible, self-sufficient, secure, and stable, and you deliver quality over time. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
