The Social Administration is responsible for individual and family care, elderly care, and care for people with disabilities. We work preventively with support, interventions, and authority exercises for children, youth, families, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
Our mission is to increase individuals' opportunities to live under the best possible living conditions and to empower individuals to live an independent life. We are a social service that is at the forefront of preventive work and in the transition to an even more accessible and knowledge-based social service.
The Youth Unit is organized into different teams for reception, investigation, intervention, and placement. We work with preliminary assessments, investigations, and follow-ups of interventions according to SoL and LVU. Our target group consists of youth aged 13-20 years, with the exception of our reception team, which works with children and youth aged 0-20, their families, and networks. Together, we work to increase the safety and stability of children and young people in their lives and to encourage and strengthen their own resources.
We have a stable leadership and organization within the child and youth section in Huddinge, but we are also constantly developing to improve, streamline, and adapt our working methods so that we can be a knowledge-based, accessible social service and conduct the best possible social work. We offer you mentorship, introduction, and opportunities for professional development, for which there is a developed competence plan.
Job Responsibilities
The reception team consists of ten social workers and a team leader, all with extensive and broad experience. As a social worker in the reception team, your task is to make preliminary assessments regarding reports and applications concerning children and youth aged 0-20 years and to be responsible for the day duty according to the schedule. You also have a consulting and advisory function where close collaboration with both internal and external partners is included in the work.
We are a driven and committed reception team that wants to influence and make a difference for children/youth and their families. The reception work is a flexible and varied job where no day is like the other. We are used to meeting people in crisis situations, and our work involves many exciting conversations and meetings. For us, it is important to make legally secure assessments where the child/youth is the focus. We are keen to take joint responsibility for our work and to be good collegial support for each other, and for the work to be characterized by mutual trust between employees and management.
Your Profile
We are now looking for a new team member. You should have a degree in social work and previous experience in authority exercises within child and youth. You have a strong interest in developing and improving working methods within social work together with the team/unit. You possess personal maturity, are attentive, and care about creating alliances and good collaborations. You are responsible, flexible, and able to prioritize and structure your work. Our approach should be characterized by high legal security, respect, engagement, and drive. For us, humor and a lack of pretentiousness are also important elements in a workgroup, and you, together with colleagues, contribute to a good social climate. You should have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
