Treatment Assistant/Case Manager at Bromma District Administration
Stockholm – our capital city with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone living here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and differently with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Bromma District Administration offers you a workplace where your efforts can truly make a difference and contribute to the community benefit in a growing district. Here, active employee participation and clear leadership are the foundation for a developing operation.
Welcome to us
The Department of Social Services and Leisure in Bromma District Administration is divided into four different areas and one unit.
We are now expanding our reception in line with the new social services act within the Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry, which is one of four units within the Adult Area, and we are looking for a Treatment Assistant/Case Manager who we hope is you!
The Unit for Addiction and Social Psychiatry is led by a unit manager and a team leader. The unit consists of a reception that works with both social psychiatry and addiction target groups, where there will be two social workers and one Treatment Assistant/Case Manager working, four social workers on investigations dealing with harmful use and addiction, six assistance caseworkers on investigations working with the social psychiatry target group, and two administrators.
We hope you want to apply for this exciting position as Treatment Assistant/Case Manager in the reception. If you get the job, you will become part of a competent, fun, and innovative workgroup where we let the best for Bromma residents lead the way forward. The group has well-developed working methods where collegial support is important. The workgroup is characterized by curiosity and professionalism, where we see reception, collaboration, and opportunities as a natural part of our work. In 2026, we will continue to explore new working methods for the target group with comorbidity – it would be great if you wanted to be part of that journey!
We offer
We offer you a position in the reception at a unit that has a strong user focus and is characterized by development and collaboration to meet the new social services act and our users in the best way. Here we work closely together, support and inspire each other, and drive development forward together, always with the goal of creating high quality and the best possible support for our users. You will be offered skills-enhancing initiatives and together with your colleagues in addiction, you will receive supervision. We apply winter and summer working hours as well as flexible hours. You will receive a wellness allowance and have the opportunity to apply for vacation exchange. Read more about our benefits in Stockholm city here https://jobba.stockholm (https://jobba.stockholm).
We are located in a newly built activity-based administrative office at Bromma Blocks. We have well-established support from our administrative functions such as HR, finance, as well as our own assistants and method developers.
Your role
In the role of Treatment Assistant/Case Manager within the unit, you will work outreach, guiding, and outwardly with cases belonging to the reception and be a support in current cases that are ongoing in investigation.
The reception for addiction and social psychiatry's primary tasks are to offer our Bromma residents a way in by doing what is included in the framework of a preliminary assessment. The reception can be contacted if one belongs to any of the target groups and is in need of support and help or if one is worried about someone who belongs to any of the target groups.
As a Treatment Assistant/Case Manager (CM), you have the opportunity to work with the individual at the center. Your work as a CM is very significant and multifaceted as you, in dialogue with the client and their network, work to find the best solution for the individual in question. Your work is based on the legislation (both SoL and LVM) and the knowledge support that exists, and you work based on evidence-based practice, i.e., you use the three sources of knowledge; the users' perspective, theoretical knowledge, and proven experiences. In your work, you will collaborate both internally with colleagues in the city and externally with partners such as the Region, the Social Insurance Agency, and the Employment Agency.
Your competence and experience
You who are applying should have a university degree in social work or a behavioral science subject and experience with the target group. We are looking for you who are a trained social worker, alcohol and drug therapist, treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
It is meritorious if you have a CM education and if you have previously worked as a CM and preferably with the target group of harmful use and addiction and the social psychiatry target group. It is also meritorious if you have experience with MI as well as experience in documentation and case management in Paraplyet and/or other IT-based social systems. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
You are flexible and relationship-building and have a good ability to establish contact with people in a vulnerable situation. You are committed, stable, and have the ability to maintain a realistic perspective on situations that arise in the daily work as a CM.
You have very good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive way and enjoy working closely with your colleagues and collaborating with other professions.
We see diversity as enriching and welcome all applicants regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, ethnic background, religion, disability, or age. Interviews may take place continuously during the application period. The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
For any interview, please bring a Swedish ID document and relevant original documents for the position, educational certificates, any issued professional licenses, certificates, or work permits.
To work for the City of Stockholm with children, youth, the elderly, and persons with disabilities, including work in their homes, you must present an extract from the criminal record. The extract must not be older than six months from the date of issue.
