Do you want to work closely with a user and make a real difference every day? We are now looking for an experienced and committed support assistant for our daily operations where close collaboration and engagement are at the center.

You will be part of a small team with two colleagues who together support a user within LSS. You will work closely with an experienced colleague who has an established relationship with the user, where you together focus on collaboration, continuity, and safety.

Your role

In this operation, with one user, you will work together with a colleague to support, motivate, and assist in everyday life. You will start in a complementary role close to the main responsible support assistant, where you together create continuity and safety. Building a relationship and approaching the user is a process that takes time and must always be adapted based on individual needs.

You support the user's self-determination and participation by adapting the work according to their wishes, strengths, abilities, and skills. An important part of the assignment is to interpret, structure, and clarify everyday life and create predictability.

The work is characterized by a pedagogical and structured approach with a low-arousal and respectful attitude. Good collaboration skills, clear communication, and transparency towards colleagues and managers are crucial for creating a safe working environment and quality in the services provided.

You will work goal-oriented based on orders and implementation plans. The role includes responsibility for social documentation, participation in the systematic quality work of the operation, as well as participation in meetings and supervision. You contribute to a good working environment by following laws, guidelines, and routines, as well as reporting deviations, feedback, and incidents.

The work requires good physical ability and endurance to provide support based on the user's needs. The assignment can in many parts resemble work as a personal assistant but is conducted within the framework of daily operations.

You have support from engaged colleagues, present managers, and continuous supervision.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• High school diploma from the health and care program, or other education that the employer assesses as equivalent.
• Work experience with individuals within LSS, where your experience includes clear pedagogical methods, low-arousal responses, and knowledge of various disabilities.
• Good ability to express yourself well in spoken and written Swedish.
• Good physical ability, as the work may involve physically demanding situations.

It is also meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with users with challenging and/or outwardly aggressive behaviors and a good ability to work with low-arousal responses and structured methods.
• A B driver's license.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you need to be secure, stable, and relationship-building. You have patience and understanding that change and relationship building take time, and you have the ability to adapt to the user's need for continuity and predictability.

You are unpretentious and collaborate closely with your colleague while also being self-driven and taking responsibility for your tasks. Your communication is clear and respectful, and you contribute to an open and transparent collaboration with both colleagues and managers.

We are looking for someone who has a low-arousal approach, good structure in their work, and an ability to create security through clarity and stability. You are flexible without being unclear, and you have a professional demeanor even in challenging situations.
