We are now looking for care assistants for the Northern Home Care Group, Western Home Care Group, Björneborg/Visnums Home Care Group, and Stenstaliden's Home Care Group.

The Support, Care, and Nursing Administration is divided into the operational areas of functional support and elderly care. Our core business is to provide care, support, and rehabilitation for the elderly and to offer assistance and service to individuals with disabilities, always with the individual's needs at the center.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant in the elderly care sector of Kristinehamn municipality, you work with support, care, and assistance for individuals in their daily lives. All services are assessed based on the client's individual needs. The work takes place in and around the client's own home, and the responsibility includes creating conditions for good quality of life and a meaningful existence for those we assist. Delegated tasks from nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists are included in the job. Pool shifts are part of the position.

Your role includes:

Care Tasks:

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene such as showering, dressing, and toilet visits.
• Supporting during meals and ensuring that the client receives food and drink according to individual needs.
• Carrying out certain health, medical, and rehabilitation tasks in consultation with licensed personnel.
• Ensuring that the client has a safe and secure home environment.

Service Tasks:

• Performing everyday household chores such as laundry, cleaning, dishwashing, and making beds.
• Assisting with shopping and errands.

Social Tasks and Documentation:

• Following up and documenting the client's condition in our digital systems.
• Conveying important information to relatives and colleagues.
• Creating social contact and promoting the client's mental well-being through conversation and companionship.

QUALIFICATIONS

Formal requirements:

• Care assistant education.
• Driving license B. (meritorious and a requirement in some home care groups)
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, based on the requirements for communication and documentation.
• Basic IT skills.

OTHER

If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland and are offered employment, you must be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit.
