Your Workplace

The Infectious Diseases Clinic is an exciting workplace that uniquely allows you to broaden your skills. Infectious disease care is an area where you will encounter both acutely ill patients and patients in less critical conditions. In your daily work, you will have the opportunity to develop in both medicine and nursing.

We have patients aged 18 and older, and the length of stay varies from a few days to sometimes several weeks. Common infectious conditions we treat include sepsis, endocarditis, spondylodiscitis, meningitis, various respiratory infections, wound and soft tissue infections.

We offer individually tailored onboarding, internal training, and support and guidance from mentors in the department. We conduct annual clinic days with education and various activities. Together, we strive for a good work environment and quality care with the patient in focus.

As a nurse in wards 31/32, you will primarily be placed in the ward, but as the clinic is developing, the goal is to allow for variation in tasks across the clinic's different areas.

The Infectious Diseases Clinic actively participates in the transition to good and close care. Here, we see that some infectious patients could be treated outside the hospital. In 2025, we started a project with antibiotic pumps and have begun treating patients at home with assistance from, for example, mobile teams and municipal care.

Your Responsibilities

The ward is divided into several teams. As a nurse, you will lead a team and be responsible for the daily care of the patients. You will identify the patients' needs and, together with the team, implement the necessary measures. You play an important role in the collaboration between different professional categories. Your tasks will include medication administration and preparation, rounds, and various medical technical procedures.

The team includes doctors, nurses, and nursing assistants. In addition to these professions, there are also support functions such as pharmacists, LINK coordinators, receptionists, medical administrators, and service staff.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for a licensed nurse or someone who will graduate in the summer of 2026 and wants to be part of the continued development of the Infectious Diseases Clinic.

You are a positive and solution-oriented person who thrives in a varied and independent work environment where you continuously develop in your professional role. You have a committed and flexible attitude and adapt your tasks according to the needs of the organization. With the patient's best interest in focus, you take initiative and responsibility for both your own tasks and the overall work. You also collaborate well with others and contribute to a good work environment.
