Inspection Engineer

ABOUT THE POSITION

As an inspection engineer, you step into a central role in a technically advanced industrial operation where safety, quality, and long-term operational reliability are the focus. You will be part of an established inspection department with high competence and work closely with both operations and maintenance to ensure that the facility meets legal requirements, internal standards, and high-quality demands.

The role combines practical work in the field with analysis, planning, and documentation. You will help prepare for shutdowns, create measurement data and drawings, and analyze results to identify actions and improvements. Initially, you will support the team in ongoing work and familiarize yourself with inspection plans. As you build knowledge of the operations and working methods, you will have the opportunity to develop in the role and gradually take on greater responsibility within the inspection area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Plan, conduct, and follow up inspections of facility equipment such as vessels, heat exchangers, and air coolers to ensure status and regulatory compliance
• Create measurement data, drawings, and technical documentation, analyze results, and propose actions
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and external parties during inspections and assessments
• Contribute to preparations for shutdowns and support the development and updating of inspection plans

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a technical interest and enjoys a role where you can combine thorough analysis with practical work
• Has a post-secondary technical education in chemistry, process, mechanical, materials, or equivalent
• Has experience from industrial operations, such as operations, maintenance, production, or technical quality work
• Has excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Enjoys working in industrial environments and is comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience from process or manufacturing industries
• Knowledge in welding, materials technology, or corrosion
• Experience in non-destructive testing, such as ultrasound or thickness measurement
• Worked with technical documentation or quality work
