Property Caretaker – Outdoor Environment

Laxåhem is a municipal housing company with roots dating back to 1946. We enhance and manage properties and premises in central Laxå, Hasselfors, and Finnerödja.

We are now looking for an employee with a strong interest in outdoor environments and gardening, who wants to help maintain, care for, and develop our outdoor areas within our municipal housing company.

About the Position

As an employee in the outdoor environment, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our residential areas according to our maintenance plan. This involves work ranging from weeding, caring for flower beds, operating robotic lawn mowers, and developing our outdoor environments. The work is varied and takes place largely outdoors, focusing on creating well-maintained, safe, and attractive environments for our tenants.

The tasks vary throughout the year and include, among others:

• Maintenance and care of green areas, yards, and pathways

• Repairs and supervision in the outdoor environment

• Development and improvement of outdoor environments in our residential areas

• Snow removal and ice control during winter

• Service and supervision of laundry rooms and other common areas

• Collaboration with colleagues and contact with tenants is an important part of the job.

We are looking for someone who

• Enjoys practical and physical work, both indoors and outdoors.

• Is responsible, has a service-oriented attitude, enjoys working independently, and can see what needs to be done and carry it out.

• Has a green thumb and a strong interest in gardening.

• Has a B driver's license (requirement)

• Has experience in similar work within property management, gardening, or park maintenance

• Has good collaboration skills and contributes to a positive work environment

• Since we also perform snow and ice control in-house, it is also an advantage if you have experience with machine operation.

This is a full-time, permanent position that will begin with a six-month probationary period within Laxåhem.
