Electrician with a focus on process and industrial electrical work

We are currently seeking an electrician focused on process and industrial electrical work for Skebäcksverket and our smaller surrounding treatment plants and pumping stations. You will have great opportunities to help create the resource plants of the future, and your knowledge and experience are an important part of our wastewater treatment plant in Örebro. About the position

As an electrician with us, you will provide operational support in electrical work for the operation and are expected to be involved in the daily operation and maintenance of Skebäcksverket, the municipality's smaller treatment plants, and pumping stations. As an electrician, you will primarily work operationally but also have administrative tasks in the form of documentation and similar. You will work in our electrical group, as well as with our operations group and our engineers, based at Skebäcksverket in Örebro.

Our team is well-functioning and has a wonderful camaraderie and good atmosphere. We help each other to create and maintain a pleasant culture with a lot of humor, where we support one another. You will work based on work orders and be responsible for ensuring that our facilities operate as they should.

Examples of tasks:

  • maintenance of electrical installations
  • maintenance planning, inventory, and purchasing of electrical technology and machinery and electrical maintenance
  • installation of frequency converters and PLCs
  • connection of sensors, meters, data devices in commonly used field buses
  • technical documentation of the work
  • maintenance of electrical installations and electrical safety
  • participate in troubleshooting and commissioning
  • provide support for electrical planning and maintenance issues in projects and assignments

About the workplace

Within the Water and Sewage operation, you will have colleagues in many different roles, with a variety of tasks. Together, we ensure that the residents of Örebro receive clean drinking water from the tap, take care of and treat wastewater, maintain and expand the pipeline network, and develop water supply for the future through, for example, our newly built water reservoir Lyran.

The treatment plant is part of the Technical and Service Administration (TSF), where environmental requirements, good economy, and quality are cornerstones of our operations. TSF is responsible for streets, roads, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parking monitoring, traffic, squares, parks, and green areas, water and sewage, waste, gas networks, and biogas production, municipal vehicles, and internal mail handling. Your workplace is at Skebäcksverket, Örebro's treatment plant, which is beautifully located adjacent to a nature reserve and a fantastic environment for walks. We are a team of about 30 employees who are proud of our fine treatment plant.

Our operational area covers the entire municipality with 8 treatment plants and about 125 pumping stations.

Qualifications

To succeed in the role of electrician with us, a good ability to collaborate is required, where you value a good collaborative climate and enjoy helping your colleagues. You are flexible and can prioritize your tasks depending on what is most urgent, and can adapt to changing circumstances. Furthermore, you have a good ability to work independently and feel confident in taking your own initiatives in your daily tasks. The role also requires that you can handle the Swedish language in speech and writing in the manner required by the operation regarding written documentation and oral communication in daily work.

We place great importance on personal suitability.

Requirements:

  • at least three years of work experience as an industrial electrician and self-sufficient in related tasks
  • electrician training in the field of electrical installation and automation, or other training and experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • Driver's license B for manual transmission

Meritorious:

  • valid authorization for electrical installation work
  • industrial electrician specialization
  • electrical service and maintenance
  • experience in water and sewage, process area
  • experience with maintenance systems for the electrical industry
  • training in electrical maintenance
  • worked in the maintenance system IDUS, or equivalent
  • experience working with SCADA systems
  • hot work
