Circle Leader for Study Circle in Course Form Varberg, Gothenburg, and Borås

Folkuniversitetet offers day and evening courses as well as lectures in areas such as languages, economics, communication, writing, and aesthetic subjects. Our courses are primarily aimed at individuals but also associations and companies. We are now looking for part-time circle leaders for free courses and circles in various subject areas, based on your interests and competencies.

About the assignment
You will lead the Study Circle in Course Form (SIK), which aims to strengthen individuals' positions in the labor market through various initiatives and work integratively. The SIK courses promote democracy, empower individuals, and are inclusive. As a circle leader, you will have the opportunity to see and strengthen people, contribute to increased participation, and help participants develop and find their place in society.

You will lead intensive, short courses – about 4 days a week, part-time and in intervals. You can take one or more assignments as agreed. Examples of subjects include book circles, reading groups, labor market issues, Swedish, music, singing, theater, IT, or other areas you have knowledge in. Our courses are primarily conducted during the day, but evening and weekend sessions may occur.

Your skills and background
We are looking for someone who is social, responsible, and preferably multilingual. You have experience meeting people and are pedagogical. Previous experience teaching adults and knowledge in the field is an advantage but not a requirement. The most important thing is that you have a pedagogical approach.

As a circle leader at Folkuniversitetet, it is important that you enjoy sharing knowledge and see the positive in participants' development. You are flexible, attentive, and structured, and have experience working independently. We also expect you to share our view on the equal value of all individuals and their right to knowledge.

Employment form
The employment is a project-based position (employment per course) with compensation per study hour. Planning is done in close collaboration with the responsible staff at Folkuniversitetet.
