About the Job

The adult psychiatry in western Blekinge operates in a catchment area of about 60,000 inhabitants and consists of adult psychiatric outpatient care in Karlshamn and Sölvesborg, as well as an inpatient ward located at the hospital in Karlshamn and an emergency and advisory team in Karlshamn. The operation is based on a multidisciplinary foundation. Work is done in teams, and the profession-specific knowledge is of great importance.

Typical nursing tasks include psychiatric nursing work, medication management, coordination, leadership, and participation in the development of the operation. We collaborate with care neighbors and prioritize family involvement. Teaching and supervision of nursing students. The tasks mainly involve work in round-the-clock care but also in outpatient care. As an employee, you will receive continuous supervision. Night shifts may occur.

About You

We are looking for a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you are a psychiatric nurse or have experience working in psychiatry. We seek someone with qualities such as good collaboration skills, flexibility in work, and a sense of professionalism.

Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and commitment to work in psychiatric care. Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment. Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a war position. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
