About the Role
You will be part of the Project Control department, which consists of ten employees distributed across three different roles. The role of estimator is broad and varied, and you will work in a dynamic environment where many projects are ongoing simultaneously. You will enter the projects at the earliest stages and follow them through to completion. You will contribute your expertise by developing well-founded project estimates, where you will play a key role in providing reliable price estimates. Together with colleagues, you will ensure that the projects have accurate cost assessments, which form the basis for decision-making and deviation management.
Examples of tasks:
- Develop estimation methodologies that support the business needs
- Update cost templates used by project managers
- Drive and/or participate in development activities
- Provide support in the preparation of post-calculations
- Monitor ongoing projects and ensure accurate estimates
- Ad-hoc analyses/tasks
Requirements
To be successful in this role, we see that you are an engaged and curious person motivated by achieving results. You enjoy taking responsibility and have the ability to independently drive the work forward in the parts of the estimation work for which you will be responsible. Furthermore, we see that you thrive with many points of contact and enjoy working in a team.
You are comfortable working in a changing environment where you drive development within your area of responsibility with the ambition to influence and contribute with your expertise and personality. You have a business-oriented mindset and can easily switch between a holistic perspective and a detailed level. You also have a pedagogical approach and the ability to communicate methodology and results to different types of recipients, which is important for success in the role.
We would like you to have:
- A degree in engineering or economics
- Experience in project estimation or similar tasks
- Good knowledge of estimation methodologies
- Good knowledge of Excel
- Experience in implementing changes in working methods is an advantage
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
