The Health Center is part of the care and social administration, which is one of our six administrations in Lidingö municipality. Here, about 800 dedicated employees work to support the residents of Lidingö through all stages of life. We exist to create security and opportunities, whether it concerns elderly care, social psychiatry, support for people with disabilities, or individual and family care. With experience, collaboration, and curiosity, we meet each individual based on their needs and create security and opportunities, both today and for the future.
It is now time for one of our beloved nurses to retire. Therefore, we are looking for a new dedicated nurse who shares our interest in supporting and helping individuals within LSS and social psychiatry. We work Monday to Friday between 7:30 AM and 4 PM. The Health Center is responsible for health care for people with disabilities in group homes, daily activities, and social psychiatry up to the nursing level in Lidingö municipality.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a nurse at the Health Center, you will have a varied and independent job where you plan your day based on both acute and planned interventions for our patients.
As a nurse in this position, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team where you collaborate closely with rehabilitation staff, the operations manager, unit managers, and care staff. You will also have close cooperation with health centers and the region's specialist clinics as needed. You will also participate in coordinated individual planning (SIP) and care planning. We actively work to maintain the independence of our patients.
Your tasks include medication management, prevention, medical assessments, sampling, supportive and motivational conversations, documentation according to HSL, delegation of health and medical care interventions to care staff, and quality work. Many patients have needs for both social psychiatric and somatic interventions.
We offer you a tailored introduction when you start with us, together with experienced colleagues.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a licensed nurse with at least one year of experience in the profession. We consider it an advantage if you are a specialist nurse in psychiatry, a district nurse, or have other specialist training that the employer finds relevant.
The job involves documentation and communication with patients and relatives, which requires that you have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good computer skills. A B driver's license is also required.
To fit in the role, you should have a genuine interest in people and the target group we work with. You thrive in changes and can quickly adjust your working methods based on changing circumstances. You are receptive to others' ideas and can provide constructive feedback, as well as have a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and can adapt the way you convey messages.
As a nurse, you will have a supervisory role, and therefore you need to be able to lead, motivate, and coordinate groups effectively. Furthermore, you will structure, plan, and prioritize your work. You should be able to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively, as well as weigh complex information and show judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. Most importantly, you want to contribute to a good work climate and the development of our operations.
