Operating Nurse with a Focus on Children

About the position

Children's Surgery Day Care performs day surgery for planned and urgent operations for children between 6 months and up to 15 years. We receive approximately 2000 patients per year in urology, surgery, orthopedics, rheumatology, and plastic surgery. Our unit is located in well-adapted premises in Q-house at Karolinska University Hospital Solna (formerly Astrid Lindgren's Children's Hospital).

The day surgery department staffs three operating rooms five days a week. Each operating room operates on 3–5 patients per day. The unit has its own pre- and post-operative department and a well-functioning flow.

As an operating nurse with us, in addition to the usual tasks as an operating nurse in an operating department, we can offer a job where no workday is the same. The whole team helps each other, and we have a close collaboration between our different professions.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Licensed nurse with specialized training in operating room nursing
• At least one year of experience as an operating nurse

Meritorious:

• Experience in pediatric surgery.
